Pocono Raceway (formerly Pocono International Raceway) also known as the Tricky Triangle, is a superspeedway located in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania at Long Pond. It is the site of two annual NASCARSprint Cup Series races held just weeks apart in June and August, and one NASCARCamping World Truck Series event in July.
Pocono is one of a very few NASCAR tracks not owned by either Speedway Motorsports, Inc. or International Speedway Corporation, the dominant track owners in NASCAR. It is owned by the Mattioli family, which also owns South Boston Speedway in South Boston,Virginia. The truck series began racing at Pocono in the 2010 season.[1]Elliott Sadler won the first CWTS race held at Pocono.
Outside of the NASCAR races, Pocono is used throughout the year by Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) and motorcycle clubs as well as racing schools. The triangular oval also has three separate infield sections of racetrack - North Course, East Course and South Course. Each of these infield sections use a separate portion of the tri-oval to complete the track. During regular non-race weekends, multiple clubs can use the track by running on different infield sections. Also some of the infield sections can be run in either direction, or multiple infield sections can be put together - such as running the North Course and the South Course and using the tri-oval to connect the two.

The 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season is the 63rd season of professionalstock car racing in the United States. The season includes 36 races and two exhibition races, beginning with the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway and ending with the Ford 400 atHomestead-Miami Speedway. During the 2010 season, NASCAR announced several calendar changes, including race additions at Kansas Speedway and Kentucky Speedway, and the removal of one race each from Atlanta Motor Speedway and Auto Club Speedway. Once the 2010 season had concluded, NASCAR also announced changes to the point system, and that the fuel will be changed from Sunocounleaded to an ethanol blend called 'Sunoco Green E15'. Charlotte Motor Speedway is a motorsports complex located in Concord, North Carolina in the United States. The complex features a 1.5 miles (2.4 km) Quad-oval track that hosts NASCAR racing including the prestigious Coca-Cola 600 onMemorial Day weekend and the Sprint All-Star Race. The speedway was built in 1959 by Bruton Smith and is considered the home track for NASCAR with many race teams located in the Charlotte area. The 2,000 acres (810 ha) complex also features a state-of-the-art 0.25 miles (0.40 km) drag racing strip, ZMAX Dragway. Charlotte Motor Speedway is a motorsports complex located in Concord, North Carolina in the United States. The complex features a 1.5 miles (2.4 km) Quad-oval track that hosts NASCAR racing including the prestigious Coca-Cola 600 onMemorial Day weekend and the Sprint All-Star Race. The speedway was built in 1959 by Bruton Smith and is considered the home track for NASCAR with many race teams located in the Charlotte area. The track is owned and operated bySpeedway Motorsports (SMI) with Marcus G. Smith (son of Bruton Smith) as track president.
The 2,000 acres (810 ha) complex also features a state-of-the-art 0.25 miles (0.40 km) drag racing strip, ZMAX Dragway. It is the only all-concrete, four-lane drag strip in the United States and hosts NHRA events. Along side the drag strip is a state-of-the-art clay oval that hosts dirt racing including the World of Outlawsfinals.
